This week Frockstar handed over a limited edition dress which will be up for auction at Denise Welch & Tim Healey's charity dinner.All proceeds from the night will go to the charity "Mind".The ball has a "psychedelic sixties" theme and promises to be a special night to remember.

The event will be held on Saturday 27th November ,tickets £95.00 each
The Point ,Old Trafford Cricket Club.

Jennifer James Trust.

For the last couple of months Frockstar have been working alongside James Edgington of Father & Son (Britains Got Talent).James has set up a charity for widowed fathers and their children .James wanted to design a scarf and tie for the Jennifer James trust, the theme being 1960's .The ties & scarves will be sold at the launch of the trust on 19th November held at the Albert Halls Bolton.

Kathryn Yates one of our Brides has kindly emailed over some of her wedding photo's.

Frockstar cut & sewn the wedding dress,chief bridesmaid and little bridesmaids dresses.

Frockstar are currently offering free consultations for brides wanting a vintage style wedding dress or bridesmaids dresses designed for 2011 onwards. If you would like to book a bridal consultation with Frockstar please email : frockstar-designs@hotmail.com ,during the consultation you will be advised on what shape and fabrics will suit your body shape and gown. Once an order is confirmed there will be a deposit of £100 required.

Kathryn Forsters wedding.

We had taken some photo's of Kathryns wedding dress in the studio before we handed it over for her big day.Kathryn looked amazing in her dress with handbeaded broach by a jewellery designer and vintage style shoes ,it was lovely to hand the dress over along with the six bridemaids dresses that we had spent designing and sewing in the past couple of months.

Feedback from Kathryn: "My dress fitted perfectly and it felt so magical to wear it.I have never seen a more gorgeous dress, thankyou so much for making for me".

Saturday 18th September is the wedding of Kathryn Forster to Andrew Yates , we designed and made Kathryns wedding dress which is made in a beautiful vintage style lace with cap sleeves and champagne coloured underslip, along with the chief bridesmaids dress and five little bridesmaids dresses.The venue for the evening is being held at Victoria Baths. Photo's added soon.

Thursday 16th saw the Fashionaires come to Manchester and Frockstar were lucky enough to be involved in the "Religion" photoshoot which saw nine of Manchesters fashion designers, six models ,makeup artists, hairstylists and of course two amazing photographers, Fatz Kassim & Oliver Morris of Fashionaires.We're so excited to see the photo's.

Thursday 9th September was the launch of Frockstars fashion house studio for all family & friends that have supported us ,the after party was held at Jacksons bar with Jenna's husband Chris Barnes playing acoustic guitar to a candlelit audience.Big thanks to Pride of Manchester who helped Frockstar to advertise the launch.

Wednesday 8th September :Helen of Frockstar was invited to Prince Charles's Green tour where a fashion show and dinner was held at Gorton Monestery for sustainable fashion,Helens dress made from recycled suits was shown on the catwalk.

Sewing for Dummy's

Come and join us @ Frockstars Fashion House on our "Sewing for Dummy's" class,
learn how to:

*Thread machine
*Stitch techniques
*Hemming
*Alterations

When you leave our class you will have the skills to do your own alterations and have mastered basic sewing techniques. You will also receive a Frockstar certificate on completion of your "sewing for Dummy's" class.

Tutors: Jenna Barnes, Helen Riley

*No need to buy yourself a sewing machine, Frockstar will provide domestic sewing machines.* All materials supplied.
*Sandwiches and light refreshments provided.
